The DANA Adobe Cultural Center is looking for paintings from local artist Milford Zornes and is asking residents if they have any of his work to share for an upcoming exhibit.

Zornes was an original member of a movement known as the California Scene Painters, which lasted from the 1930s to the 1960s. He lived on the Central Coast with his family, painting largely in watercolor and teaching workshops in Cambria.

The Dana Adobe is planning an exhibit of Zornes’ paintings and is seeking residents who may own some of his work and would be willing to allow the museum to display them in their facility.Ā

Anyone interested in sharing their Zornes work is asked to contact Shirley Horacek, president of the Nipomo Arts Commission, at bnshoracek@gmail.com. Include a photo of the painting along with contact information.Ā
