In publishing the recent commentary “What is more important?” (Nov. 3), your paper is maintaining its reputation of a far-left liberal blab. The commentary illustrates the fuzzy-headed thinking of the liberal writer who tries to tie oil development and marijuana sales together.
Oil development and production produces jobs and wealth and pays taxes and retirement revenues.
Marijuana does nothing but corrupt the environment and the people. It is not surprising that the liberal assemblymen in San Francisco object to being controlled by the national laws against its use. The town is as corrupt as the drug itself.
And Obama has a low approval rating, as stated by the writer, because he is an idiot, just like all the thoughtless voters who didn’t really take the time to find out just what his ideas of “change” were.
It is appalling to see such a muddleheaded person teaching philosophy to our naive and newbie students at Cuesta College. What damage must have been imposed on their view of the world by this person.
