Sometimes you just have to agree with the accusations that the immigration problems we face are our own fault.
In fact the whole damn bunch of us should be sued for providing an “attractive nuisance.” It’s not the fault of the people who drag children to our borders with the hope of falsifying asylum claims that result in children and families being separated (the claims that their conditions are worse than animal control pounds is a specious argument). But the fact is, there’s a whole bunch of laws known as tort laws that absolve people from being held liable for their own illegal or stupid activity. Tort laws say that if you have a swimming pool and someone trespasses on your property and drowns in your pool, it’s your fault”unless, unless, you’ve taken the precaution to put a fence around it.
The only thing that chaps my hide more is that some people believe a person caught in criminal behavior is somehow vindicated to create even greater criminality, even terrorism, and it has to be accepted as our fault.
