Regarding ā€œSupport nuclear powerā€ (2/2) by Justin Ruhge: He refers to the approval of the Yucca Mountain storage facility by the federal government. My question is when was or when will the federal government approve Yucca Mountain as a storage site for nuclear waste?

As a responsible biologist, I was arrested in 1978 in front of Diablo because PG&E did not know what they were going to do with their nuclear waste. Radioactivity destroys DNA. It lasts for more than 100,000 years. PG&E told me in ’78 that it would go to Yucca Mountain. What is PG&E actually doing with their waste? Storing it at Diablo on earthquake faults (like Japan)?

Nipomo Mesa is downwind (85 percent of the time) of Diablo. I do not support nuclear power and object to the misinformation (lies) of PG&E (and Justin Ruhge).
