The Fund for Santa Barbara is accepting applications for funding through the Youth Making Change program through 5 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Youth Making Change is a year-long, youth-led, grant program that provides young people with the opportunity to engage in organized philanthropy. Youth ages 13 to 19 years old are recruited annually to join the program’s boards—one in Santa Maria, one in Santa Barbara. Each board conducts a grant-making program and distributes a total of $15,000 in grants of up to $3,500 to youth-led projects that address issues and challenges directly affecting young people in Santa Barbara County.

The grant application is available now for download in English and Spanish from the Fund for Santa Barbara’s website, fundforsantabarbara.org/youth.php, or by visiting the Fund’s offices, 120 E. Jones St, Suite 120 in Santa Maria, and 26 W. Anapamu St. in Santa Barbara.

A complete list of project requirements is listed on the application. Questions may be directed to Cristina GonzƔlez at 922-1707, Ext. 200, or ymc@fundforsantabarbara.org.
