The Santa Maria Chapter of California Women for Agriculture recently announced its 2009 officers: Kristy Farmer, president; Kari Campbell-Bohard, first vice president; Kerri Aller, second vice president; Donna France, third vice president; Joyce Chrisman, secretary; Nancy Machut, treasurer; and Patty Vasquez, vice treasurer. Lisa Bodrogi is the immediate past president. The officers will be installed on the evening of Dec. 17.

President-Elect Farmer’s goal, according to a press release from the group, is to promote agriculture through education, including providing accurate information to consumers and policymakers.Ā

California Women for Agriculture members act as a part of a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-commercial action group and a voice for agriculture. The Santa Maria chapter meets the third Wednesday of every month at the Santa Maria Radisson Hotel at noon. For more information, call 929-7470.
