On March 30, three people were swept into the Pacific Ocean during a baptismal ceremony at Guadalupe Dunes County Park. Two of the people were able rescue themselves, but the third is still unaccounted for as of press time. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department launched a second search effort for the missing person on March 31 after receiving reports of a body spotted near the surf line. ā€œNo body was found,ā€ county fire spokesperson David Sadecki told the Sun. The objects were found to be fishing buoys that were mistaken for a body.
