For the 10th straight year, radio station Sunny Country 102.5 will hold a radiothon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event is set for March 12 and 13. The donations benefit children afflicted with cancer and other debilitating illnesses. The station has raised more than $500,000 for children in past radiothons.
With more than 200 radio stations participating in the annual event—sponsored this year by Trattoria Ulveto in Orcutt, the Santa Maria Town Center, and Chumash Casino—County Cares is one of the most successful fundraising programs in the nation. Donors in this year’s event will receive a special invitation to a private concert by Nashville recording artist Luke Bryan.
Contributions can be made during the radiothon by calling 1-800-795-1800.
