Saving and money are usually two things teens have trouble putting together, and when the former doesn’t become a habit, trouble usually follows with the latter.

That’s where Rabobank comes in, aiding teens in distress. The bank has launched a competition it hopes will inspire teens to save for their future.

The video contest—titled ā€œLights, Camera, Save!ā€ā€”is part of the ABA Education Foundation’s ā€œTeach Children to Saveā€ program intended for students in the age bracket of 13 to 16.

ā€œThe contest is meant to be fun and exciting, but when all is said and done, we hope teens will take action and live this message, ā€˜start young, save more,ā€™ā€ regional president Steven Harding said in a press release.

Each video should be about 60 to 90 seconds long and demonstrate why fiscal responsibility is important.

The local Rabobank will be host to the first-level judging process and will submit one winner to compete at the national platform, where prizes include $3,000, $1,500, and $500 in U.S. savings bonds and an iPod Touch.

Anyone interested in participating can visit a local Rabobank branch, or go to rabobankamerica.com/contest.
