The third annual “Painted Chair” raffle is underway, thanks to the concerted efforts of the Santa Maria Arts Council, Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library, and P.L.A.Y. Inc. The event is a benefit for the Santa Maria Public Library, and features chairs beautifully painted by local artists to be raffled off on April 12 at 4 p.m. at the library. Tickets for the raffle are available now through April 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the first floor of the Santa Maria Town Center mall.
Tickets are $1 or $5 for six. More than 40 chairs will be raffled, and winners aren’t required to be present to win their chair. More information is available at The Library Shop at 925-7116 or at the library, 421 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria.
