Right before pausing for its month-long summer hiatus, the Santa Maria Camera Club announced the winning images from its June competition.

“Each photographer brings a unique vision and artistic perspective, demonstrating the talent and skills that have earned recognition in club, regional, and national competitions,” according to press materials.

The group’s monthly competition meetings are held over Zoom on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Photographs by Ed Powell, Jeanne Sparks, Jim McKinniss, Frank Tromp, and Elaine Calvert were recognized in June.

Join the club for meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Members will hear from a guest speaker and may share their work with the group in a supportive atmosphere. Club meetings are held at Merrill Gardens in Santa Maria, and guests are asked to RSVP to santamariacameraclub@gmail.com for entry instructions. Beginners and experienced photographers are welcome.

“Whether you’re interested in landscapes, wildlife, portraits, street photography, travel, macro photography, or simply taking better pictures, you’ll find support, inspiration, and friendship at the Santa Maria Camera Club,” the club announced.
