The Santa Maria Civic Theatre is holding auditions for lead and supporting roles in an upcoming production of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.Ā 

The organization is currently casting for the following roles: Blanche DuBois, age 28 to 34, described as a “fragile, delicate beauty, desperate, and unbalanced”; Stella Kowalski, age 23 to 26, described as “stronger than she looks and gentle and kind”; Stanley Kowalski, age 28 to 35, described as “muscular, blue collar, and an abusive barbaric brute”; Harold Mitchell (Mitch), age 28 to 35, described as “tall, muscular, sensitive, and awkward around women”; Eunice Hubbell, age 35 to 45; Steve Hubbell, age 35 to 45; Pablo Gonzales, age 28 to 45; and two additional roles.Ā
