Santa Maria police officers and local high school students will square off on the basketball court in a pair of contests to raise funds for local athletics.

For the 14th time, members of the Santa Maria Police Officers Association will take on Santa Maria High School’s varsity basketball teams on May 13. The game takes place at 7 p.m. in Wilson Gym at Santa Maria High School. Tickets cost $5 for the general public and $3 for students, with all proceeds benefiting the Santa Maria High School Athletic Department.

On May 20, officers will return to the court for a match-up against members of Pioneer Valley High School’s boys’ varsity basketball team. The players will hit the court at 5:30 p.m. in the school’s gym, followed by a second match-up between the high school athletes and school staff. Tickets cost $5, and proceeds will benefit the Pioneer Valley boys’ basketball program.
