Carrie Givens and Karen McGaw are once again bringing their own perspectives to the forefront of the fine art gallery on Grand Avenue. See their featured duo show, Personal Point of View, through October at Gallery Los Olivos.

The painters explore their relationships with the natural world, bringing to the table their distinct artistic voices and styles. Personal Point of View is based on the idea that though people experience the same landscape, everyone has individual emotions and relationships with nature. Givens and McGaw invite gallerygoers to consider their own personal ties to the environment as they view the artwork.

“Their pieces reflect not simply what is seen in nature, but what is felt: the changing light, movement, color, texture, quiet moments, and emotional connections that develop through time spent observing the world around us,” the gallery announced in press materials.

The artists are close friends and have worked together for years, including last October’s featured show of the same name. Last year, the exhibit also featured work by Renée Kelleher.

Visit Gallery Los Olivos daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2920 Grand Ave. in Los Olivos. Find more information about the gallery’s artists and upcoming featured shows online at gallerylosolivos.com.
