• Coastal Valley Soccer Club: The Coastal Valley Soccer Club (CVSC) is holding tryouts for the Central Coast Soccer League (CCSL) and Coast Soccer League (CSL). Open tryouts for boys ages 9 to 17 will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 25 and March 3 at Crossroads Field on College Avenue in Santa Maria. Tryouts for girls will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Players must be accompanied by an adult to sign a waiver and should bring cleats, shin guards, a soccer ball, and water. • Special Olympics: Special Olympics Northern Santa Barbara County is currently looking for athletes with intellectual difficulties for its spring/summer sports season in Santa Maria and Lompoc.
