Gallery Los Olivos presents 2022 Blooms, a new duo exhibition, which debuted at the beginning of October and is scheduled to remain on display through the end of the month. The exhibit showcases a collection of plein air and studio paintings by local pastelists Kris Buck and Deborah Breedon. Many pieces in the new show depict landscapes based on local settings.Â
Both artists are longtime members of Gallery Los Olivos and signature members of the Pastel Society of America, and have received various awards for their artworks over the years, according to press materials. Buck and Breedon are also frequent collaborators and often paint their respective plein air pieces on location together. The pair of pastelists previously showcased their artworks side by side in the 2021 show, Summer Bloom, at Gallery Los Olivos.
