Thirty films will be screened at two venues in Los Olivos, as part of the fourth annual NatureTrack Film Festival. Most of the in-person portion of the festival will be held at St. Markās In-The-Valley Episcopal Church on Saturday, Oct. 16, with various screenings taking place between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Additional screenings will take place at the Cindy Bronfman Leadership Center between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The festival features a variety of films with themes of protecting nature and wildlife. The first film to be screened in the eventās lineup is Animals at the Border, a documentary that explores the global impact that barbed wire fences and other borders have on wild animals. Other featured films include Antarctica, a BBC nature documentary narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, and Light of the Night, which examines the ever-expanding problem of light pollution and how it negatively affects animals, plants, and humans.
A selection of family-friendly films will also be screened as part of the festival, including the animated films The Beauty of Nature, Wild, The Tree Has Been Planted, The Long Kiss, and The Potion. Family-friendly live action films on the docket include Trench, The Ants, and Hidden Wild (pictured).Ā
Most of the films included in the festival will also be available to screen virtually Sunday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 31. Tickets to in-person screenings start at $10. All access passes to both in-person and virtual screenings range between $75 and $100.
