Golf enthusiasts are invited to tee off in support of community health care for the 21st annual Leland ā€œButchā€ Simas and Felix Fly, M.D., Memorial Golf Tournament on March 29.

Hosted by the Marian Medical Center Foundation, the tournament will be held at the Santa Maria Country Club. All proceeds will benefit Marian’s Cornerstone Campaign to build a new hospital for the Santa Maria community. Santa Maria Elks Lodge No. 1538 will provide a barbecue lunch.

Event registration begins at 9 a.m., and the shotgun event tee off will take place an hour later at 10. The $225 entry fee includes the green fee, cart, lunch, tee prizes, and the Victory Award reception that begins at 3:30 p.m., immediately following the tournament. Throughout the day’s festivities, participants will have the opportunity to compete for a variety of prizes, including a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab from Home Motors.

For more information about joining or sponsoring the event, call the Marian Medical Center Foundation at 739-3595.
