The Vapor Trail Vettes of Santa Maria are hosting a low-speed autocross at Allan Hancock College’s Lompoc campus on March 27.

All makes and models of cars are welcome, but drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Registration and tech inspections will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., followed by a mandatory drivers’ meeting. All registered cars must be at the gate no later than 8:30 a.m., and the first car starts at 8:45.

Costs to register run from $40 to $60, depending on time of registration and membership in the National Council of Corvette Clubs. Forms can be downloaded from the Vapor Trail Vettes’ website at vaportrailvettes.com.

The Vapor Trail Vettes car club will be donating a $500 scholarship to a student of the Allan Hancock College Automotive Technology Program from this event. The Lompoc campus is at 1 Hancock Drive.
