While the Lompoc POPS Orchestra remains unable to present live performances due to COVID-19 restrictions, its board of directors recently announced it will be posting past performance pieces to YouTube for fans and first-time listeners to experience for free. The YouTube channel, listed as Official Lompoc POPS Orchestra, was made possible by the board in cooperation with the orchestra’s conductor and artistic director, Brian Alhadeff.Ā

As of now, the channel includes renditions of the Mamas and the Papas’ ā€œCalifornia Dreamin’,ā€ holiday staples like ā€œFrosty the Snowman,ā€ and other popular tunes. Orchestra officials also announced that they hope live concerts can resume by the summer or fall of this year. Tickets previously purchased for canceled or postponed concerts during the 2019-20 season will be honored at future concerts for a full year upon resumption of performances, according to the orchestra. Visit lompocpopsorchestra.org for more details.
