No need to travel to New York City to hear your favorite show tunes. The Lompoc Pops on Broadway is coming to town on Sept. 20 with a lineup from musicals like Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma!, and The Sound of Music.
This concert will be the latest compilation conducted by maestro Brian Asher Alhadeff after the group’s patriotic tribute in June.
“With the outstanding professional musicians of the Lompoc Pops Orchestra, as well as a wonderful, accomplished selection of guest vocalists, audiences will be transformed to the bright lights of Broadway with this stunning concert of musical pieces, including ‘Till There Was You’ from The Music Man, ‘If I loved You’ from Carousel, ‘All I Ask of You’ from The Phantom of the Opera, and so much more,” according to press materials.
Showtime is at 4 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the First United Methodist Church in Lompoc (925 N. F St.). General admission costs $25 with discounts for students and active-duty military members. Children 11 years and younger enter at no cost. Buy tickets at the door, at the Box Shop (740 N. H St.), or at the Lompoc Valley Florist (322 N. H St., suite A).
