Students looking to get involved in arts have a chance to sign up for free classes in Santa Maria. Youth Arts Alive is offering free one-hour classes in music, dance, theater, and visual art for ages 12 to 17 (seventh to 12th grade) at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center.
The classes take place on June 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is also an opportunity for students to sign up for Youth Arts Alive free weekly classes, which take place June 26 to July 21, Mondays through Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m. Students can also register online at youthartsalive.org. The Abel Maldonado Center is located at 600 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria.
