The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Committee (EDC) is holding a fundraiser to restore the Santa Rita Hills wine sign, in partnership with local muralist Ann Thompson. Proceeds raised will support a redesign of the sign, located near the southbound entrance of the city of Lompoc.

The new art design will celebrate Lompoc’s wine industry and its connection to the Santa Rita Hills that border the Lompoc Valley, according to press materials. The estimated budget of the redesign is $6,000, which includes supplies, artist fees, and future upkeep. The project is part of the EDC’s mission to help beautify Lompoc and make the city visually desirable to community members and visitors alike.

To donate to the project, make checks payable to: Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce Community Development Foundation. Donors are asked to please indicate “Santa Rita Wine Sign” on their checks, which can be mailed to P.O. Box 626, Lompoc, CA 93438.
