The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department offers a Halloween party for active adults over the age of 50. The event has a haunted Western saloon theme, and costumes are encouraged. Activities will include a pumpkin shooting range, jail photo booth, refreshments, and live music by the students from Pioneer Valley High School.

No reservations are required to attend the event happening Oct. 27 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Elwin Mussell Senior Center, 510 E. Park Ave., Santa Maria.
