Allan Hancock College is readying to open the bidding on rare and one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia at the school’s 10th annual Joe White Memorial Dinner and Auction on Aug. 20.
The auction will raise money for the Hancock athletic program and will be held at the Santa Maria Fairpark Pavilion at 937 South Thornburg in Santa Maria. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a social hour and silent auction, followed by a steak dinner, held promptly at 7:07 p.m. The event finishes off with the live auction.
The cost is $40 per person and $400 for tables of 10. Interested parties can raise their level of support by becoming a “Gold Table Sponsor” for a donation of $1,000. Gold Table Sponsors will receive premium seating for 10 guests, in addition to special wine with dinner and sponsor mentions in the event program and during the evening.
