Gallery Los Olivos presents its latest exhibit, featuring the work of Peggy Fletcher and Patricia Watkins.Ā 

Fletcher is a soft touch realistic watercolorist whose subject matter often includes florals, animals, landscape, and many other scenes from nature. She merges realism with an impressionistic style in order to convey complexities in nature. According to her artist’s statement, “Tranquility is very important in my life, and I hope that the tranquil nature of my watercolors will transport the viewer to a peaceful place.”

Watkins, who has a background in painting, is a jewelry designer specializing in ornate beaded and woven designs with an an emphasis on shape, color, balance, and the quality of products. In the past, Watkins has worked in Viking knit, Italian yarn, silk thread, waxed yarn, and more media.Ā 

The exhibit runs March 1 through March 31 and features a meet-and-greet at the gallery with Watkins on March 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and with Fletcher on March 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is located atĀ  2920 Grand Ave., Los Olivos.
