Las Flores Ranch Park—which offers hiking, cycling, and horseback riding on about 8 miles of trails—will have new hours and fees for the fall and winter seasons.

Beginning Nov. 7 and extending through March 2011, the park will be closed to recreational access Mondays through Thursdays. The park will be open to all users from Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

User fees have also changed. Starting Nov. 1, daily access fees will be $3 for adults age 16 and older and $1.50 for seniors 62 years and older. Youth 15 and younger get in free. The single-visit group rate is $10 for up to six people. Annual group passes for up to six people are also available for $45.

Santa Maria residents and businesses are entitled to free access to the park. Address verification will be required upon registration at the park’s visitor center. All non-residents will be allowed to use their current access card for a year from the card’s original date of issue.
