The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding a Downtown Merchants Kick Off event for local merchants in the downtown Santa Maria area. The Downtown Merchants Committee has been working at gaining traction in promoting Santa Maria’s downtown and supporting businesses in the area. The event is scheduled for June 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Santa Maria Town Center’s second floor, near Sears.
There will be information from the city of Santa Maria Community Development Department and the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department. Topics will include efforts like cash mobs, co-op advertising, and synergistic support among local businesses.
