Join the Santa Maria Arts Council for an evening of performance, gourmet deli, dessert, wine, and the opportunity to meet promising new artists, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 21, at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center.
This year’s grants showcase honors Nancy K. Johnson. The celebration begins at 5:30 with a meeting with visual artists followed by a gourmet deli dinner at 5:45 p.m. and performances and awards at 6:30 p.m.
Awards go to Sean Peters who took first place for drama, Chris Cortez who won first place for dance, Ian Hassett who won first place for visual arts, and Thomas Li who took first place for music.
Make reservations by May 16. Tickets cost $20 for adults; $12.50 for students; and $5 for children.
