Tipping Point, a group art exhibition at the Ann Foxworthy Gallery in Santa Maria, debuted in mid-September and is scheduled to remain on display through late October. The exhibit is described as “a thought-provoking exploration of the impacts of climate change,” in press materials.
The showcase includes pieces by six artists: Bay Hallowell, Cynthia Martin, R.T. Livingston, Tom Pazderka, Marlene Struss, and Susan Tibbles. Each piece in the show focuses on the existential threat of climate change, and how it impacts each of the featured artists’ work.
“California is on the front lines of climate change. The sum of all its parts, in this timely show, tells a human-interest story,” artist Martin said in press materials. “We see sea levels rising. We experience coastal erosion. All this in our own backyard.”

The gallery is located inside the Academic Resource Center, Building L, on Allan Hancock College’s Santa Maria campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
