You can feel it in the air, the annual Elks Rodeo is coming to Santa Maria. The main rodeo events all take place at the Unocal Events Center off of Highway 101, Santa Maria Way Exit, and there you will see the roughest roping, riding, barrel riding, mutton busting, and more. The Elk’s have been gearing up all year for the rodeo, and no one leaves disappointed, they make sure of it!
The Santa Maria Elks Club presents the annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo June 4 through 7 in Santa Maria featuring a Mini Rodeo June 4 at 10 a.m. at the Event Center. The first Rodeo performance is June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Event Center. The second Rodeo performance is June 6 at 2 p.m. at the Event Center. The third Rodeo performance is June 7 at 2 p.m. at the Event Center. Info: 922-6006.
Broadway is the place to be June 6, when all your favorite community organizations, school organizations, non profits, businesses, politicians, rodeo officials, and competitors make their way down Santa Maria’s main drag. Find a nice patch of side walk, hunker down, and enjoy this old town tradition.

After you are done watching the area’s craziest cowboys and girls bucking and roping, its time to relax and have some grub! The Elks Lodge is open to those who dig good ol’ Americana cuisine and feel like putting their feet up. Whatever you do, don’t forget to get some ribs!
