Living in Long Island, New York, for the past 10 years, I’ve taken many trips to Fire Island to see the beautiful dunes and all the wonderful wildlife and organisms it holds.

Just arriving in Nipomo yesterday, I was very excited to hear that you had dunes as well. Taking a trip there today, I was astonished at how massive they are. Hiking around, I was amazed to see some of the monarchs, all the different types of birds, and the plant life around that area. The thing that baffled me was all of the vehicles driving around in the area adjacent to me.Ā Ā

Surely everyone knows that even walking on the dunes can harm them, let alone a vehicle. You would think that a community that holds such a rare beauty would try to preserve it rather than destroy it.
