Outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed his opinion on multiculturalism and was hammered with the “woke crowd” calling him everything but something good to eat. What’s happening in our country is a division by ethnicity, color, and economic status. It’s by design to separate us from our Americanism.
You can move to France, but you can never claim to be a Frenchman. Same goes for every other country on this planet. But if you come to America and pledge your allegiance to our country and flag, you are an American. It’s the only country that was invented. It’s the only country where the Constitution declares our rights are God given and government serves us, not the other way around.
President Theodore Roosevelt, one of the presidents honored at Mount Rushmore, plainly said that there is no room for a hyphenated American.
We are Americans first and foremost. This is the country that has fought wars to free other people from tyranny asking nothing in return. We are the country with the resources to respond to disaster wherever on the planet it occurs, the first there with the most to give and the last to leave.
We espouse individual freedom to pursue happiness, not guarantee it. We have a history of Americans who have succeeded and built public libraries, medical clinics, hospitals for children with diseases, pioneered space travel with a new breed of rocketry.
We are the only country to successfully put man on the moon six times and put landers on Mars four times where everyone else has failed.
Now you want to crush a president who has not started a new war and brought men home from conflicts. Freed us from Middle East oil dependence. Destroyed the Islamic Caliphate. Created economic opportunity for Black communities, stopped the deluge of illegal immigrants that has been going on for decades.
Are you people serious? Can you look at freedom and progress and spit on our flag and our Constitution. We need a reckoning with where we have come from and where do we want to go. Where we are headed now is the wrong path.
