I am voting for Dirk Starbuck for the Lompoc City Council. Dirk is a fourth-generation Lompocan who graduated from Lompoc High School prior to spending 20 years in the Navy defending our country. He returned to Lompoc and opened a small business: The Muffler Shop.
Dirk is committed to Lompoc; he loves his hometown and wants to see it prosper. I have found him to be a person of high integrity and honesty. He is a good listener, logical thinker, and does his homework—necessary qualities for an effective councilperson.
He will make certain that we live within our revenue and will provide the leadership we need to maintain a strong local government. He will demand accountability and follow up on city projects and all aspects of city government. He is a strong supporter of public safety. He is an advocate for an ongoing code enforcement program and wants derelict properties cleaned up. He will make certain that Lompoc has a realistic economic development program that will entice businesses to locate here and provide jobs. He will ensure that the city exemplifies a business-friendly environment.
Dirk identifies with Lompoc. His roots are here, he was born here, he grew up here, and he’s committed to making our community an even better place to live. He is running for City Council for the right reasons.
