Despite overwhelming opposition from the establishment of both parties, along with a unified front of media hacks, a political novice, against all the odds, has been elected president of the United States. The Donald did it, and he did it his way. Words canāt describe the earthquake that has shaken the worldās political class to its core. Finally, the American people have a voice of common sense, a believer in American exceptionalism, and a patriot in Washington, D.C., the likes of which we have not seen since the days of Ronald Reagan.Ā
What can America expect from President Donald Trump? We can expect a Supreme Court and federal judiciary to return to its right place serving as a check and balance system to all the powers that seek to rob the states and the people of their rights. We can expect our enemies to fear us and our allies to trust and respect us. We can expect terrorists to think twice before launching attacks against our citizens and our interests. We can expect growth in our economy and excitement about our prospects.Ā
Specifically, Donald Trump released a contract with America during the last days of the presidential campaign that got short shrift from the press because they were too busy covering a bawdy conversation caught on tape more than a decade ago. If Trump is true to his word, and the cowardly lions of the Senate are willing, we are going to see some big, positive changes in America that are long overdue. Trumpās contract includes the following provisions that will serve to drain the swamp in Washington and reduce the size and scope of federal overreach.
Trump will seek to establish term limits for members of Congress; implement a hiring freeze on federal employeesāsave the military and employees needed to serve public safety and health needs; initiate a requirement that any effort to impose new federal regulations must be combined with the elimination of two old and irrelevant laws already on the books; impose a five-year ban on lobbying by former White House officials and members of Congress; and implement a total ban on foreign lobbyists raising campaign contributions affecting our elections.
He also plans to cut off federal funds to sanctuary cities, and to deport some 2 million criminals in our country who happen to be here illegally. Of course, Trump is already getting pushback on this from the mayors and police chiefs of sanctuary cities who are recalcitrant. However, what Trump intends to do is only deport those who have been convicted of serious crimes! Who can honestly argue against that? Any Santa Marian who tries to make that argument should start the debate with the undocumented immigrant who raped, tortured, and murdered Marilyn Pharis!
Trump plans to unleash an industry that has the power and potential to revive our economy single-handedly. That would be our oil, gas, and coal sectors. We could have more money than the Saudis because we have more energy resources. We have enough energy to begin exporting, which means we can compete with the countries that are using their energy exports to support war and terrorist activities. That means we get a twofer. We grow our economy and rob our enemies of cash!
Trump is going to redirect the billions we are wasting on climate change chicanery and redirect these monies to our nationās failing infrastructure. This will put a lot of people to work and it will save real lives in real time, as compared to hypothetical impacts based on garbage in/garbage out computer programs that canāt predict tomorrowās weather let alone the temperatures 50 years from now!
Trump will also replace Obamacare, establish school choice, reduce taxes and regulations, and end illegal immigration.
Letās get started!Ā
