Much is being said in the media about the Dream Act and giving residency and financial help to illegal alien students who graduate from a California high school if they attend a college for a specified amount of time or get a college diploma. However, the media doesn’t seem to want to tell the entire story on this issue, and that is, according to law, such students who receive residency will be able to petition for many of their relatives, thus creating much more of an amnesty than just for themselves. The number could be in the many millions; it is called chain migration.
In addition, the 1986 Amnesty proved to be a disaster due to massive fraud. The background checks, screening, etc., promised never happened, and millions were just passed on through, because the government didn’t have the resources nor manpower to keep its promise. Therefore, along with many good, decent, hard-working illegal immigrants, we got a massive number of undesirables, criminal types, etc.
