I would like to take this opportunity to offer a sincere thanks to our 33rd California Assembly District representative, Sam Blakeslee, for his unending efforts in support of our Armed Forces, and especially our veterans.
It is through the continued work of Assemblyman Blakeslee that he was able to establish the Air Express van service for veterans of San Luis Obispo County to receive free transportation to various VA clinics and hospitals. Many of these veterans would be otherwise hard pressed to get the critical care they need and so well deserve.
Assemblyman Blakeslee is also introducing legislation in the California State Assembly to designate that portion of U.S. Highway 101 that runs through the entire north-south corridor of the 33rd Assembly District as a portion of the nationwide “Purple Heart Trail,” honoring those service men and women who have been wounded in combat.
He has also fought continuously against raising taxes to help bail out the state of California.
Assemblyman Blakeslee’s efforts on behalf of our honored veterans as well as his entire constituency are second to none. He has proven himself to be an honest, caring, and unselfish representative of the people in his district and deserves the respect and admiration of all.
