If we didnāt know how people lived a hundred years ago, Bill Denneen has just described it (āWe need to change,ā Nov. 6). A hundred years ago, they didnāt have photo cells for lights, hoses to heat their water, or pneumatic tires.
Large corporations were not around to supply half the population with jobs while working on 7 to 10 percent profit.
I, for one, think that living like Denneen is a price I wouldnāt pay with all of my present- day conveniences.
