The city has Measure U on the June 5 ballot. I have heard the presentations on this measure and have watched this community grow rapidly. I understand how important it is to hire more police officers and firefighters, but the city does not have the funding to do so. With our city’s growth, there is an immediate demand for public safety services. Measure U looks like the only viable alternative to get more police officers on our streets and hire fire fighters for the new northeast station. That’s why I’m supporting Measure U, and I encourage all of you to do the same.
