Santa Maria firefighters help in my neighborhood at least once a week. I live here in Casa del Rio on Suey Crossing Road, across the street from the new Station 5.
Santa Maria firefighters helped Mom and Dad. At those times, they came from the fire station on Donovan Road, west of the freeway. When Santa Maria Fire Station 5 opens, our helpers will be right across the street. If a fire should happen across the Santa Maria River from us, our helpers will be right across the street.
We support Measure U on the June 5 ballot. We want to be sure this important fire station becomes operational. The money raised by Measure U on the June 5 ballot stays local, safe from state government raids, and will be used for essential city services here in town.
The new station and its firefighters will serve the entire city, and it all depends on a yes vote on Measure U on the June 5 ballot. Support our first responders in the northeast section of Santa Maria.
