Marines of the Coastal Valleys—including the communities of Santa Maria, Orcutt, Santa Ynez, Solvang, Buellton, Lompoc, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, and Guadalupe—have gathered together to form a new Marine Corps League detachment. Marine Corps League Coastal Valleys Detachment 1340 has officially been chartered.

Ā

The Marine Corps League is dedicated to helping active duty and honorably discharged U.S. Marines and their families, as well as those who served in the U.S. Navy in support of the Fleet Marine Force as corpsmen.

Ā

Toys for Tots, started by U.S. Marines, is being directly supported by the Coastal Valleys Detachment 1340 under the guidance of detachment member Rick Pushies, our new 2009 Santa Maria campaign coordinator.

Ā

Marine Corps League Coastal Valleys Detachment 1340 meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Orcutt Christian Church, 204 Patterson Road, and we invite anyone who is an active duty or honorably discharged U.S. Marine or Navy corpsman to join us.
