I think the California Gasoline Sales Tax should be replaced with a $60 billion bond measure, about $6 billion for 10 years or a decade. This Senate bill, SB 1, is going to be hard to afford on most Californians going to a gasoline station such as the Exxon-Mobil station at Morro Bay Boulevard and Quintana Road in Morro Bay, or any other gasoline station within the county or state of California.
I am glad that finally the California state route 46 and 41 Wye is going to be improved with a brand new trumpet interchange and widening to expressway standards. My family and I, with my friend Dexter, always take that junction to get to Visalia for visits and class reunions once every five years on average with my former teacher and special education specialist, Dan Sear.
In closing I think that they should also cancel funding of the California High Speed Rail project and give it to the same proposed bond too. None of the SB 1 funds are really going to the high speed rail project at all as of now.
