It was April 30 of last year when I wrote about the fear of opening our economy and people venturing out for the first time as we get back to normal. Man, did I miss that. Shocking. We are learning how wrong Fauci has been. How unnecessary and destructive the lockdowns have been. How physiologically damaging mask wearing and school closings have been to our students. How flawed the testing methods have been and still are.Ā

Despite California being among the lowest count in new infections, whatever that means considering what I’ve pointed out, they are still trying to scare the hell out of us with variants and forcing, by guilt, vaccinations. In any event to my point.Ā

There are new, unfamiliar faces in our places of business. Yes, we all enjoy seeing the familiar ones who braved it over this nightmare. These new folks are venturing into the job market perhaps for the first time. They’re replacing folks who got too much of our free tax dollars to sit at home. For the new folks, maybe this was a ā€œfirst opportunityā€ since the pre-pandemic shutdown to find a job. So they’re learning new skills. Learning to engage customers.Ā

We are frustrated because the pandemic crap has gone on way further, if even necessary, than it should have. Even now the taste of freedom seems vulnerable to be yanked away again.Ā

But as confidence is gained, these new people will be thankful for the job. Perhaps more than the people they are replacing. They’ll be happy to make you happy, and we’ll have a new beginning. Good luck for the folks who will be trying to find a job again sometime later.
