The ā€œGet to know vegetarianismā€ article in the Jan. 22 issue of the Sun was a good introduction to the ā€œHealthy Lifestyle Education and Support Programā€ that we are conducting at the Hungry Palate Restaurant in Santa Maria every Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m.

Best health comes from an optimal plant-based diet. We are covering nutrition, exercise, medical considerations, and many other subjects. The material presented (books, articles, charts, videos) is evidence-based from the respected experts in lifestyle medicine. To get this education at a 10-day onsite program usually costs more than $4,000! Our nonprofit course is offered for a suggested donation of $10 per session to cover some of our costs. Each session stands alone, so you don’t have to be in the earlier sessions to understand the information.

Dr. Robert Hammond, retired family physician, provides excellent guidance and support. Dr. Abiola Oladoke, owner of the restaurant, contributes her knowledge and experience in food preparation/nutrition/health coaching. We are here to help you succeed!
