I’ve been reading a lot about Elliot Rodger. I work at the Santa Maria Public Library, and the father of one of the victims of Mr. Rodger had been a regular at this library, and I had always been impressed by what a nice, classy guy he was. And when I viewed his unfiltered grief over the killing of his son, it broke my heart. He wants to make sure this kind of thing never happens again. Well, I hope so.
But similar mass killings have happened before, again and again, and will probably continue to happen, unless something really is done to prevent them. Hopefully Mr. Martinez can make this happen.
