Veterans Day has come and gone. Where were all of the flags honoring our veterans? It is a shame our business and our residential folks do not take the time to fly Old Glory. Our veterans have gone to war save us from harm. Many gave their lives for our freedom, yet some do not care. Growing up in Santa Maria, every business had a flag flying in front of their business. I guess it is just another day for them.

My father served in WWI, my husband and brother in WWII, and my younger brother in the Korean War, where he died for this country. I wish the City Council would remind people about special days like Veterans Day and Memorial Day. They are so important to me. I know that the barbecue and parade put on by Mr. Clayton means so much to our veterans. May God bless our country always.
