Yet politicians do nothing to protect our national security threatened by fossil-fuel-caused global warming. The fossil fuel lobby is just too powerful and contributes to their next political campaign.
Next, agriculture will be hit (and already is in many places).
Meanwhile, California politicians sit by silently and let our last, best weapon against global warming close—carbon-free Diablo Canyon power plant—2.3 billion watts of 24/7 electricity.
Our best hope is youth rising up to fight against greed and corruption for their threatened future life.
