Looking for a safe and educational place to send your preschooler? YMCA Stepping Stones Childcare, located in the Betteravia Government Center, and the YMCA Young Children’s Center, located at 3400 Skyway Drive, are now enrolling children ages 2 to 5 years old. The only prerequisite is potty training.
Both programs are licensed and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and offer hands-on activities and interactive play. The program is designed to enhance developmental skills, and help children form relationships with their peers, their families, and teachers, according to program officials.
Financial aid is available through a partnership between the YMCA, the Santa Barbara Foundation, and the Orfalea Family Foundation.
