The Central Coast Wine Competition announced the results of its 2010 vintnersā contest on June 17, with Santa Barbara County wineries taking home many of the top prizes.
Local winning labels included Santa Mariaās Rancho Sisquoc for Best of Merlot and Best of Super Tuscan Red, Santa Ynezās Quail Crossing for Best of Pinot Grigio, and Santa Mariaās Kenneth Volk for Best of Zinfandel.
This yearās expanded competition included winemakers from the entire Central Coast American Viticultural Area, stretching from Ventura County to the Bay Area.
Award-winning wines will be featured at the Santa Barbara County Fair and the California Mid-State Fair.
