For the sixth year in a row, the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum is offering free admission as part of its annual “Community Day” on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event honors the birthday of R.H. Tesene, a generous supporter of the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, and includes complimentary birthday desserts, free music lessons, and a Chumash presentation. There will also be a raffle to win a free annual family membership.
The Discovery Museum is located at 705 S. McClelland St.
